I’ve always loved cookbooks. My favorite is my mom’s 1961 Betty Crocker Cookbook - what a throwback! When I’ve explored cookbooks, and now online sites, the baking and preserving chapters especially have inspired me and captured my imagination. I’ve loved to cook since I was a teenager, especially the homestyle stuff, a little old fashioned, not necessarily trendy, but comforting goodness with the flavor of real ingredients, the kind of things you’d like to make exactly the way you’d like to make them.
